THE FRONT BOTTOMS!
This was a recommendation from soup and they're fucking amazing. I've purchased both of their albums and have pretty much been listening to them nonstop over the last couple of weeks.

Lullaby by Kan R. Gao
So I'm spending my evening at the office, not because I'm doing work on my long weekend (though that wound up being what I did to pass the time - I'll be able to add another day onto my long weekend as a result) but because I wanted to use their internet connection to download my GOG.com games
Well, one of the games I bought as part of a package deal was To The Moon. Again. I didn't bother re-downloading the game a second time, but there was some bonus material included, so I figured "Why not?" and DL'd that. One of the bonus features was a sampling of the soundtracks of Gao's other games. I listened to a couple, determined they were of his usual quality (I.E. impeccable) and added them all to my iPod. I set them on a playlist and started listening to them as I worked.
Then this one came on.
It is a testament to Gao's incredible talent as a songwriter that I have absolutely no connection to this song, yet still felt a bit choked up by the end of it. I've never played the game it's from (Do You Remember My Lullaby?), but I want to now.
Highly recommend giving this one a listen to anyone who was a fan of To The Moon. Or anyone who's a fan of music in general. Or anyone with a functional set of eardrums.

I just had these guys recommended to me by a friend. They're made up of a couple of guys from the Mars Volta, including head man Omar. They won't have an album out until June but they've got two songs out right now and they're both EXCELLENT. Everyone should check them out. The two songs are
Torn Maps and
Turtle Neck.
So this album came out last week. The whole thing is available for free on their bandcamp. I'm giving it a listen now. I'll probably buy it at the the end of the week.

Check it out.

^^ Will totally listen to this tomorrow! ^^
The Gates of Slumber - Castle of the Devil
Big awesome Doom Metal by a trio of giant bearded dudes from Indy. Very Groovy. I *love* the bluesy breakdown in the middle, the bass is awesome. And fun live too.

Will still listen to that album, I promise.
But I'm listening to this whole thing currently.

I'm pretty sure I've posted this here before and I know I post it on facebook once or twice every few months, but god this song is amazing. Doubly so once I started watching a video with the lyrics.

I'm pretty sure we can all stop listening to music. Mario's beautiful music in the other topic clearly trumps anything we could ever want to listen to ever again.

I try to listen to it every day. Once when I wake, and once before I go to sleep.

Someone recommended Skazi to me recently, and his stuff is really good. He does a weird fusion of punk/metal and psytrance. He also has some truly kickass remixes out there.
No link, just look up Skazi on Youtube, which I guarentee none of you will do.
